Hong Kong's Compulsory Quarantine Continues Until at Least Aug 7
The Shenzhen Municipal Health Commission published yesterday, that on June 30, the Hong Kong SAR Government extended the validity period of compulsory quarantine for mainland arrivals to Hong Kong for one month; now til August 7.
Hong Kong SAR Government is currently in discussions with the relevant departments of the Guangdong Province and Macau SAR Government on developing a mutual testing / recognition system to exempt people from quarantines in order to allow for the flow of people in the three places, to a limited extent. Once the latest results of the discussion on the transit arrangements are discussed, the HKSAR Government will announce the relevant details.
A spokesman for the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government also noted that many overseas countries have relaxed the measures to reduce social contact, the epidemic has rebounded, a large number of new cases have occurred, and the relevant measures need to be implemented again. Therefore, the SAR Government will continue to pay close attention to the development of the epidemic situation and review the relevant measures implemented from time to time, so as to make appropriate adjustments after taking into account all relevant factors.
