Could one of the great Millennial romances be over? Rumours are swirling that local boy-turned-pop sensation Troye Sivan has split from his international modelling superstar beau Jacob Bixenman after four years together.
Music sources say the pair quietly parted ways in the past few months while Sivan was seeing out his COVID-19 isolation period in Australia.
Bixenman, meanwhile, has remained in his home town of Los Angeles.
The pair have been virtually absent from each other’s Instagram feeds — the last combined post with them pictured together dates way back to November last year.
And, in a sure sign that things may be rocky, both have stopped commenting on each other’s posts.
But perhaps the biggest and most obvious clue is in the music.
Sivan is set to release a new album, Dream, next month — and it is heavily weighted with break-up angst.
The first single, Easy, details a tumultuous relationship, featuring the lines: “He made it easy, please, don’t leave me.”
The previous single, Take Yourself Home, is about Sivan returning to Australia last year after an undisclosed incident in his adopted hometown of LA.
“Talk to me, there’s nothing that can’t be fixed with some honesty,” he sings, adding: “And how we got this dark is just beyond to me.”
Sivan and Bixenman became the ultimate gay “It-couple” when they went public with their relationship in August 2018, and are regular paparazzi fodder around LA, where they share a house.
Representatives for Sivan's label EMI declined to comment on rumours of a split.

-turned-
...-turned-...，字面意思也是很好理解，xxx转变为xxx的，turned可以解释为“...出身的”（someone who has done one job and then does something completely different），比如，English-teacher-turned-founder of ...英语老师出身的xxx公司创始人，an actor turned politician 演员出身的政治家，a housewife turned author 家庭主妇出身的作家。
sensation
1）表示“轰动；哗然；引起轰动的人（或事物）”，英文解释为“very great surprise, excitement, or interest among a lot of people; the person or the thing that causes this surprise”举个🌰：
News of his arrest caused a sensation.
他被捕的消息引起了轰动。
此处pop sensation可以理解为“流行巨星”，“流行天王”。此前，63岁中国爷爷成油管网红文中标题就是Master carpenter's ancient Chinese skills are a YouTube sensation. 而在有的人能从数字里看到颜色？！？文中也出现过这个词：Project sensations outside the mind, such as seeing colors floating through the air when they hear sounds.
2）作可数名词，还可以表示“感觉；知觉”，英文解释为“a feeling that you get when sth affects your body”，如：a tingling/burning sensation 刺痛/烧灼的感觉。
3）作不可数名词，可以表示“感觉能力；知觉能力”，英文解释为“the ability to feel through your sense of touch”，举个🌰：
She seemed to have lost all sensation in her arms.
她的两条胳膊好像完全失去知觉了。
🎬电影《困在爱中》（Stuck in Love）中的台词提到：I was overcome by the oddest sensation. 我像是被一种怪异的冲动（感觉）驱使着。

fodder /ˈfɒdə/原意表示“饲料”（Fodder is food that is given to cows, horses, and other animals.）此处名词+fodder，表示“（人或东西）…的料；（供某种用途的）素材”，英文解释为“people or things that are considered to have only one use”，paparazzi fodder 指的就是狗仔跟拍/偷拍的素材/料。
补充：
📍cannon fodder，很显然，cannon是“大炮”，大炮的料什么意思？指的就是“炮灰；牺牲品”（If someone in authority regards people they are in charge of as cannon fodder, they do not care if these people are harmed or lost in the course of their work.）
