SECTION 21. Accept What You Are Supposed to Get
财务部门在分配诵经钱时,一定要格外注意。
When allotting money from the Prayer Offering Center, our financial department should pay extra attention.
我看了你们关于诵经的规则,念经的人似乎并没有认真念。你们还是要好好念啊!
I saw that you have not seriously read the allotting regulation. You’d better read it through carefully.
你们当中,如果不能念长时间的经,作为精进闻思的人,只是简略地念诵,佛陀也是开许的,
As for people who spend most of their time listening and reflecting diligently, if you don’t have much time to chant prayers, the Buddha allows you to chant briefly.
如云:“供养三界亦不足。”意思是说,对具足清净戒律、勤奋闻思的人,供养三界的财物也不多。
As it is said, “Even to offer everything in the three realms is not enough,” meaning it is not quite enough to offer even all the wealth of the three realms to people who have upheld their precepts and who diligently listen to and reflect on the Dharma.
集体诵经的时候,大家要踊跃参加。
You should enthusiastically participate in any occasion of collective chanting.
最近我对你们也讲了吧,领信财时不要说妄语,否则真的会犯根本戒,是在造堕入恶趣的可怕恶业。
As I mentioned the other day, never tell lies when you claim offerings for chanting prayers, for to lie is to absolutely break the fundamental precepts, which generates a scary karma leading to rebirth in the lower realms.
这一方面是偷盗,第二方面是享用僧财,第三方面是狡诈骗取,很可怕的。
It is terrible for, first of all, it is stealing, and second, it is inappropriately enjoying the possessions of the Sangha, and third, it is swindling.
在僧财上一定要小心谨慎!
We have to be very cautious regarding the possessions of the Sangha!
除非你是具清净戒律、精进闻思的人,否则不要随便享用信财。
Unless you maintain pure precepts and listen and reflect diligently, you should never enjoy offerings at will.
我心里有时会浮现出这样的想法:有的人一辈子吃黑财,真的挺恐怖。
The terrifying thought sometimes occurs to me that for their entire lives some people live on offerings they are not supposed to have.
只要是造与僧众相关的恶业,就是在造大恶业,跟往生极乐世界绝对背道而驰,不知会不会堕落三恶趣。
If a misdeed relates to the Sangha, it is a grave misdeed, opposite to the direction of Dewachen. The question ensues: Will such people end up in the three lower realms?
这些问题,我们活着的时候应该注意,
We should give attention to these matters while alive.
否则,所谓的死亡无常,不知道什么时候就会来临。年少的、年老的,不一定谁先死,死的外缘也是不定的。
Impermanent death may arrive at any time, and it is uncertain who will die first, the older or the younger, and the external conditions of death are also uncertain.
那什么才是对死亡有利的法呢?
And then, what would be beneficial at the time of death?
就是信心、悲心、实修大圆满法,
The answer is faith, compassion, and your meditation on the Great Perfection.
这些能使你以后不用再流转三有轮回,没有比它更好的了。
Here is the Dharma that can prevent you from roaming in the cyclic existence of the three existences; nothing is greater than this.
大家要下功夫勤修。
Everyone should make great efforts to practice diligently.
不论是谁,都要尽心尽力修这些法。
No matter who you are, it is indispensable to do your utmost to practice this Dharma.
