Rob: So it should have been Neil presenting with you today but he's gone on holiday so you've got me instead.

菲菲：我知道，尼尔有整整两周的假期！

Rob: Oh lucky Neil. Two weeks doing nothing - sitting on the beach in the sun, eating ice-cream. Wonderful!

罗布：哦，尼尔真是太幸运了。两个星期什么都不做，就在海滩上晒太阳，吃冰激凌。太美好了！

Feifei: Oh Neil won't be sitting on any beaches. He's going to help teach English at a school in Spain.

菲菲：哦，尼尔是不会坐在海滩上晒太阳的。他要为西班牙一所学校的英语教学提供帮助。

Rob: What! He's gone to Spain to do the same work he does here – that's a bit of a busman's holiday, isn't it?

Feifei: But his job isn't driving buses Rob.

菲菲：可是罗布，他的工作并不是开公交车。

Rob: No Feifei – a busman's holiday is a holiday where you do the same thing you do at work instead of just having a rest.

罗布：不是，菲菲，a busman's holiday这个短语的意思是说在假期仍然要做平时上班做的工作，而不是休息。

Feifei: I see. A busman's holiday is not about going on a bus. It's a strange choice for Neil isn't it Rob?

菲菲：我明白了。这个短语和公交车无关。这对尼尔来说是个奇怪的选择，对吧罗布？

Rob: Yes me too but think about what Neil actually does in his job.

Rob: Exactly – and he'll be doing the same in Spain.

Feifei: Now that sounds like my kind of busman's holiday! When can I go?

菲菲：这听起来有点像我喜欢的那种照常工作的节假日！我什么时候能去？

Rob: Let's finish the programme first.

罗布：我们先把这期节目做完。
