人民日报曾言：“助人为乐，行于善者，是一种人生境界；于需要帮助的人，则意味着提高了度过险境的可能，增加了克服困难的勇气。” 6月9日下午我校高一年级英语演讲角（Speakers’ Corner）在我校七彩广场如期举行。

主持人：高一4班  李文曦

本期的话题为“Describe a time when you helped a friend.” 接下来，就让我们一起来聆听同学们用英语讲述自己帮助他人或是接受帮助的感人故事吧!

高一1班

What’s more, I completed the following assignment filled with joyful emotion. From this case, I find that helping others may cost something from me, but in return, I gain something too. Personally speaking, we should try our best to help others, which will contribute to the world with love.

As far as I’m concerned, if you want to comfort your friends effectively, you are supposed to say something to calm him or her down. Furthermore, analyzing the reasons behind the problem together is a good way to avoid the same mistake next time.

To be honest, even though we gain a little help from other people, we should return the favor with all we can when others are in need, because kindness is free, we should help each other as long as we are in a safe situation.

In my opinion, communicating with them should be a top priority when helping our friends, because we deserve to know what happened and then offer our solutions. After all, the first step to give a hand to our friends ought to accompany them.

A man’s value to the community, first of all depends on his feelings. Thought and action has much effect on the promotion of human interests. So in this way, we can say helping people is the symbol of personality sublimation.

Throughout my life, there are four most significant things in my life: family, love, interests and friends. For me. Family is the basis; love is the mirror; interests are the furniture and friends are the roof. Therefore, helping my family and friends is something I cannot refuse, and it’s also something I should do.
