由我院Paola Maria Trapani、莫娇和马可三位老师合作撰写的论文A product-service system design approach for the frame innovation of Food and Beverage on board of civil aviation aircraft》,即《一种航空餐饮框架性创新的产品-服务系统设计方法,发表于Design Research Society 2022,收录于大会电子出版物。A research paper is published and presented online at Design Research Society 2022. Written by the D&I faculties Paola Maria Trapani, Mo Jiao and Ma Ke, the paper is published in the conference digital proceedings.

Design Research Society( 设计研究协会)成立于1966 年,致力于促进和发展全球设计研究,是国际设计研究界历史最悠久的多学科学术团体。DRS2022 是迄今为止规模最大、设计领域最广的一届会议,汇集了 800 多名与会者和 315 篇论文演示文稿。

The Design Research Society is a learned society committed to promoting and developing design research worldwide. Established in 1966 it is the oldest multi-disciplinary society for the international design research community. DRS2022 is the biggest and most ambitious DRS conference to date. The conference brings together over 800 participants and 315 paper presentations which you can find in this volume of conference paper abstracts.

论文基于我院研究团队与波音飞机公司于2020年的校企合作项目,经由合作方同意后撰写并发表。参与此项目的教师包括:莫娇、Paola Maria Trapani、刘震元、Hyejin LEE 、Constantinos TERZIDIS、张建君(同济大学经管学院副教授)、马可、龚渝蓓等;主要学生包含:张毅沁、申由甲、黄佳雯、Sean Charz、金钰媛、初正岳及部分本科与研究生。

The paper A product-service system design approach for the frame innovation of Food and Beverage on board of civil aviation aircraft stems from a co-operation with Boeing Company in 2020. After obtaining approval from Boeing Company, a report is published explaining the research methodology and the design output. 

Faculties who participated are: Mo Jiao, Paola Maria Trapani, Liu Zhengyuan, Hyejin Lee, Constantinos Terzidis, Zhang Jianjun (SEM, Tongji University), Ma Ke, Gong Yupei. Students: Zhang Yiqin, Sheng Youjia, Huang Jiawen, Sean Charz, Jin Yuyuan, Chu Zhenyue. Some of the BA and MA students have been involved in the concept and ideation process. Part-time students have conducted industry sector’s research.

本论文阐述了如何运用框架性创新(frame innovation)的方法驱动产品与服务体系设计(PSSD)。该方法能够面向复杂问题结合设计交叉领域,推演出革新性的紧密连接产品与服务的系统设计方案。论文由六个章节组成:

1. 项目概览介绍了用户需求、设计研究跨专业团队组成及原因、设计方法及成果;

2. 研究背景描述了项目的复杂性,包括众多利益相关方及其动态联系,确定针对OCDN (Open, Complex, Dynamic, and Networked )问题框架性创新设计的研究框架。

3. 研究方法重点介绍了从搭建现状系统图,到提炼悖论问题、实际访谈、文献研究分析,最终提出设计主题和设计研究框架以及用于设计沟通的概念隐喻。

4. 成果章节提出了基于空乘-乘客交互关系的四象限服务情景,以及单个服务情景中与设计主题相关产品与服务设计。

5. 原型及评估章节介绍了设计评估和测试的方法,包含所需的测试模型、流程、场所、人员等因素。

6. 预测性人工智能模型章节作为前瞻性技术探索,构建乘客个性化知识图谱,并通过人工智能的预测和分析为未来航空餐饮提供的个性化的用户服务,同时衍生出新型的商业模式。


This paper elaborates on the frame innovation method (Drost, 2015) adapted to the practice of product and service system design (PSSD). It illustrates a radical innovation framework capable of guaranteeing a strong connection between products and services in complex systems and the fruitful collaboration among multidisciplinary teams. The paper is composed by six chapters:1. The project outline overviews the background and research questions, the structure of the multidisciplinary team, the research method, and the result.2. The theoretical background expands on complexity in design, focusing on the necessity to include different and often conflicting stakeholders and their dynamic relationships. The frame innovation method for OCDN (Open, Complex, Dynamic, and Networked )problems is chosen as suitable for the research area.3. The research methodology presents a set of tools, including the system map, the conversion of paradoxes to research questions, desk research and field research methods, the use of metaphors to inspire robust design concept.4. The result illustrates four quadrants depicting complementary service scenarios and populated with relevant products and services.5. The prototyping and evaluation section introduces the evaluation workshop and related method, material and participants.

6.  A brief description of the predictive AI model anticipates emerging technology and explores the personalized knowledge graph (PKG), by using deep neural network (DNN) to provide personalized meals and create new business opportunities.
