宗派要团结
SECTION 25. Different Lineages Should Be in Harmony
尤其在藏地雪域，有八大修传教派、十大讲传教派等。
In Tibet, the Land of Snow, there are eight practice lineages and ten teaching lineages.
这所有教派都是同一位本师——释迦牟尼佛的教法，因此，各派要团结和合，清净戒律。
But all these lineages uphold the teachings of the same guru, Buddha Shākyamuni, so all lineages should get along well and maintain pure precepts.
主要是僧人们，不要一味偏袒自己的宗派，也不要以贪嗔的心态说些“我们是新派、你们是旧派、你们是苯波教、我们是噶举派”之类的话，
Monastics in particular should avoid blindly favoring their own lineage or, out of desire and anger, saying things like, “We are the new lineage, you are the earlier lineage; you are the Bon lineage and we are the Kagyü lineage.”
否则就是造舍法罪，会转生到恶趣。
Otherwise you will commit the misdeed of forsaking the Dharma, a karma leading you to take rebirth in the lower realms.
我们对任何法都不要有邪见，要以恭敬虔诚的信心，修自己有缘的本尊。
We should not hold faulty views on any teaching but instead practice on deities connected to us with sincere devotion.
当今依靠个别了不起的持教大德的恩德，雪域不同以往，宗派之间的冲突有所减少，但仍没有从根本上杜绝，
These days, thanks to the kindness of some marvelous lineage holders, the situation in the Land of Snow has changed and conflicts among lineages have decreased, though they have not yet been uprooted.
所以各派之间不要争执不息。
So different lineages should not fight endlessly.
我们大家如果齐心协力，哪怕对佛教起到一点点作用，能使它变得更清净、更完善，我想那是再好不过的。
I cannot think of anything better than all of us pulling together so that Buddhism is slightly benefited, purer, and improved.
对佛教起到作用，就是指利益众生。
To benefit Buddhism means to benefit sentient beings.
否则，像以前个别人那样，以贪心、嗔心进行破立，着重维护自宗、破斥他宗，这是绝对不行的。
In contrast, like some individuals in the past, compelled by desire and anger, some monastics confirm their own lineage and dispute against other lineages through refutation and certainty. This is absolutely unacceptable.
这种对宗派的贪嗔，一定是转生恶趣的因。
Such desire and anger toward other lineages are surely the causes propelling a fall into the lower realms.
特别是就密宗来讲，这也是在犯第六条根本戒，如续中所说：
In secret Mantrayana in particular, this kind of behavior violates the sixth fundamental vow, as said in the tantras:
“自宗或他宗，谤法第六条。”
“If one disparages one’s own lineage or other lineages, one breaks the sixth vow.”
古大德也说：“不仅仅是诽谤入道的声闻缘觉、大道的大乘宗派等正道佛教，就是诽谤寻道的外道，都犯第六条根本戒。”
Masters of the past also said: “For to transgress the sixth fundamental vow is to disparage not only the entrance-level path of the listeners and self-realized buddhas, or the genuine path of Mahayana great path and so forth, but also the non-Buddhist path in the course of seeking the genuine path.”
尤其菩萨戒中，这是舍法罪。
Especially in the bodhisattva vows, disparaging a lineage is regarded as the misdeed of forsaking the Dharma.
想往生极乐世界的人，必须要小心，再没有比舍法罪更严重的业了。
If you wish to take rebirth in Dewachen after death, you must be cautious because no other karma is graver than the misdeed of forsaking the Dharma in this way.
另外，对于相续中有正法的持教大德，本无过失却无中生有，或者本有功德却加以抹杀，进行诽谤，多番恶语攻击，这也是舍法罪。
Meanwhile, as to lineage holders who have the genuine Dharma in their mindstream, if one fabricates some faults that they do not have or denies their excellent qualities, slanders them, or attacks them with malicious words, it is also the misdeed of forsaking the Dharma.
