针对此事徐州丰县发布了声明。
An initial statement from the Fengxian propaganda department misstated the woman’s surname and dismissed concerns. “There was no abduction and trafficking,” it said, adding that the woman suffered from a mental illness and was receiving medical treatment and “further assistance so that the family can enjoy a warm Lunar New Year.”
丰县宣传部门最初的声明写错该女子的姓氏，并且打消了人们的疑虑。该声明写道：“不存在拐卖行为，”并补充到，该妇女患有精神疾病，正在接受治疗，并“对其家庭开展进一步救助，确保过上温暖的春节。”
