什么是“血奴”，blood slave？
近日，一位年轻小伙在柬埔寨沦为“血奴”的新闻引起了广泛关注。
2021年6月，该小伙被朋友忽悠到外地工作，后被人劫持送到柬埔寨。因为不愿参与网络诈骗，被诈骗公司多次转卖。

在将近半年的时间里，小伙每隔一个半月就要被抽取3个输液瓶量的血，共计被抽血7次。
医生表示，小伙被解救时“血被抽干，已经濒临死亡。”
“血被抽干”四个大字让人不寒而栗……是怎样的恶魔会做出如此丧尽天良的事情……

最近几天，“血奴”一词频频出现在网络上。它要怎么翻译呢？
百度百科对“血奴”的解释是：
“血奴是由血霸和血头控制的职业卖血人。”
如果把“血奴”翻译成 professional blood sellers 职业卖血人，那就相当于抹灭了他们“被迫卖血”的惨痛遭遇。
实际上，小编觉得直译成 blood slave 最为贴切。
