不要再打着佛教旗号破坏佛教了
Stop Destroying Buddhism in the Name of Buddhism
我们应建立起对上师尊重和欣赏的态度。
We should establish an attitude of respect and admiration for our teachers.
要了解到上师代表什么？
We need to understand what teachers represent.
他们通过自身的努力修持佛法，又是为了什么？
Why do they exert themselves to practice the Buddhadharma?
谁
是
真
正
的
福
田
当我们供养僧众时，哪怕财物极其微薄，
When you make even the most modest offering to a monk or nun,
也应选择一位具有法相的善知识，
you should choose one who is an authentic spiritual master.
而不要盲目相信心怀叵测的奸诈之辈。
Do not blindly trust scheming crooks.
喇拉曲智仁波切曾指出：“福德浅薄之人，就算想供养财产，也遇不到真正的福田。”
Lala Chudzi Rinpoche once pointed out, “People with scant virtue and merit, even if they wish to offer their possessions, cannot encounter a true field of merit.” 1
此话确是金玉良言。
This is truly a golden saying.
现在，许多人往往真伪不辨，因而很难值遇真正的大善知识。
Nowadays, many people tend not to discriminate between true and false, so it is hard for them to meet a great, authentic spiritual mentor.
对于具有智慧、守持净戒、却生活俭朴的出家人，
When they meet wise monks and nuns who uphold pure precepts and live simply,
他们不仅不懂得尊重，反而嗤之以鼻、不屑一顾；
not only do they feel no respect, but they scoff and dismiss them.
而对于信口开河、妄说神通的狡诈之徒，他们倒会钦佩有加。
Instead they admire crafty rogues who talk at random and brag about their supposed supernatural powers.
米拉日巴尊者对弟子热琼巴也说：“当今，智者不会受到恭敬，愚者却备受拥戴；
Venerable Milarepa told his disciple Rechungpa, “In this age, wise ones are not respected, but fools are hailed.
了义的佛法不受重视，不了义的法门却被推崇备至。
The Buddhadharma of true meaning is not valued, but the teachings of expedient meaning are lauded.
所以，你应努力追随真正的善知识，去寻求了义的法要。”
Thus, you must endeavor to follow authentic spiritual mentors and seek instructions with real meaning.”
如今，这样的教诲对我们依然有效。
This advice applies to us today as well.
纵览当今时势，有些人表面上挂着堪布、活佛的名号，实则并不珍视佛法，
As we look at current trends, we see that some people have the title of Khenpo or Tulku, but in reality they do not cherish the Buddhadharma.
只知追求世间种种享受，
They only know to pursue various worldly pleasures.
悲悯众生者寥若晨星。
Those who have compassion for living beings are as rare as stars at dawn.
这些徒有虚名的“高僧大德”，动辄以各种借口欺骗众生，堂而皇之地聚敛钱财，
The ones who purport to be eminent monks and virtuous masters frequently cheat living beings with various excuses, and boldly amass wealth.
而许多人竟也不加观察就开始争相供养，
Yet many people actually start to jostle to make offerings to these so-called masters without examining them closely.
甚至到处吹嘘他们的“功德”……
These people even boast of their ‘merit’ everywhere they go.
这种现象，真是佛教的悲哀、
This phenomenon is truly the sorrow of Buddhism,
僧众的悲哀、
the sorrow of the monastic sangha,
信徒的悲哀！
and the sorrow of the faithful!
正是这些人的丑恶行径，才使佛法进入末法时期，
It is exactly these repellent actions that have propelled the Buddhadharma into the Dharma age of degeneration,
破坏了佛教在世人心目中的崇高地位。
and destroyed Buddhism’s noble place in people’s hearts.
1. Field of merit (Skt. punyakshetra, Tib. tshogs zhing): The focus or object of prayers, prostrations, and other offerings.
