     今天介绍的City Cats, Country Cats，是世界上最大的童书出版社美国兰登书屋畅销25年的经典分级阅读：Step into reading第一阶段的其中一本。

这套书共分5级，在美国畅销近30年，是一套适合学龄前及小学阶段儿童学习英语的分级“教材”。之所以称之为教材，是因为这套书太受欢迎了，随便进入一个小学教室，就一定有它，而众所周知，美国小学没有指定教材，很多老师就是用这套书来给孩子们学习的。

整套系列都是原汁原味的英语原版图书，书中用词地道，词汇丰富，插画漂亮，有助于改善孩子的英语阅读能力。内容包罗万象，有图画书、数学、经典童话故事、励志故事和科普类等。

A city is a large town with a lot of higher buildings ,wider roads ,more cars and shops than those in the country. 城市

The country consists of places such as farms, open fields, and villages which are away from towns and cities. 乡村

What does the sign mean? No dogs.

They like to pick wildflowers,blow petals , cast fishing line in the river,play on a swing,hang on the tree.

3拓展活动

 游戏：What do you want？
 
1. 根据书中图画，打印一些图片，如：冰激凌、面包、灌装饮料、报纸、轮滑鞋、巴士、农场、拖拉机、新鲜果蔬、干草块等等。

2. 学习图片物品的名称，并跟孩子一起判断：

What would the City cats prefer？ 

What would the Country cats prefer？

3. 家长跟孩子一起分别扮演city cat 跟 country cat，分别问对方：City cat（Country cat），city cat（country cat)，what do you want？然后各自用 I like...句式回答。
