The 3rd CCGAR Research Camp 

on Auditing and Accounting

 Friday, July 26 – Saturday, July 27, 2019 in Chengdu, Sichuan, China

The Center for China’s Governmental Auditing Research (CCGAR) and Research Institute of Economics and Management (RIEM) at the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE) are pleased to announce the 3rd Research Camp on Auditing and Accounting. This event will be held at SWUFE on July 26 - 27 of 2019 in Chengdu, Sichuan, China, and sponsored by Golden Finance (Golden Education Co., Ltd).

The purpose of research camp is to bring together leading scholars, practitioners and Ph.D. students working on current issues in auditing and accounting. The camp will comprise one-day keynote speeches and one-day paper presentations. CCGAR and RIEM are committed to hosting the research camp on a yearly basis and developing it into a premier research conference in China. 

For this year’s camp, we are very excited to announce Professor Clive Lennox from University of Southern California as our keynote speaker. Prof. Lennox is a world-renowned accounting and auditing scholar, and has published more than twenty articles in the top-tier accounting journals (Journal of Accounting and Economics, Journal of Accounting Research, The Accounting Review, Contemporary Accounting Research, and the Review of Accounting Studies). Prof. Lennox currently serves as an editor at Contemporary Accounting Research, associate editor at Journal of Accounting and Economics, and has served as an editor at The Accounting Review. Prof. Lennox also serves as the editorial board member at the Journal of Accounting Research. 

The organizers encourage submission of theoretical, archival and experimental studies on variety of issues in auditing and accounting. The deadline for submission is June 1, 2019.Manuscripts (English only) should be submitted to Lin Liao at [e-mail]. Please indicate “your name + paper title” in the subject of email. Authors of selected papers will be notified no later than July 1, 2019. Early submissions are strongly encouraged. 

The camp registration fee is 800RMB, including camp materials, receptions, and meals. A special pricing of 400RMB is available for students with a valid student ID. Participants will cover their own travel and accommodation costs. However, we will provide three nights’ accommodation to authors whose papers are accepted for the presentation and a cash prize will be awarded for the best paper.
