The State Council on Wednesday made public a regulation on optimizing the business environment in the latest step to unleash and develop productive forces and advance high-quality development. Aligning with advanced international levels, the regulation specifies the principles and directions for fostering a stable, fair, transparent and predictable business environment.

国务院国有资产监督管理委员会表示，根据2016年底推出的三年工作计划，我国通过破产关停、合并重组等方式已经清除了国有企业系统95%的“僵尸企业”。
China has eliminated 95 percent of "zombie companies" in its State-owned enterprise system via bankruptcy closures, mergers and reorganization through a three-year program launched at the end of 2016, a senior State asset regulator said.
要加大力度妥善处理“僵尸企业”处置中的问题，加快推动市场出清，释放大量沉淀资源。
Great efforts are needed to deal with challenges facing the disposal of "zombie enterprises" to speed up the clearing up and unleash untapped resources.

Xi made the remarks Thursday while presiding over a group study session of the CPC Central Committee Political Bureau on the development and trend of blockchain technology.

Coordinated key-task tackling should be advanced and breakthroughs in key technologies should be accelerated to provide safe and controllable technological support for blockchain development and its application. Research on the standardization of blockchain should be stepped up to increase China's influence and rule-making power in the global arena.

President Xi Jinping called for the unique role of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) in disease prevention and treatment to come into full play and allow it to contribute to the building of a healthier nation. Xi said in an instruction that TCM contains the nation's ideas and experience in healthcare spanning millennia and is a treasure of Chinese civilization. China should carry on the essence of TCM while pursuing innovations in the field, Xi stressed, adding that it should speed up the modernization and industrialization of TCM. Equal importance should be placed on both TCM and Western medicine. Let them complement each other and develop in a coordinated manner, he said. Xi's instruction was delivered at a national TCM conference on Friday in Beijing.
要深入发掘中医药宝库中的精华，推进产学研一体化，推进中医药产业化、现代化，让中医药走向世界。
More efforts should be made in exploring the essence of TCM and better collaboration between enterprises, universities and research institutes to advance the industrialization, modernization and globalization of TCM.
