问：据报道，联合国缅甸人权问题特别报告员呼吁国际社会就若开邦问题向中国和俄罗斯施压，促使两国反对发生在缅甸的侵犯人权行为。中方对此有何评论？
Q: The UN Special Rapporteur on thesituation of human rights in Myanmar has called for international pressure onChina and Russia on the issue of the Rakhine state, so as to try to get bothcountries to oppose the human rights abuses in Myanmar. What is China'sresponse?
答：中方一贯主张在平等和相互尊重的基础上，通过建设性对话与合作处理分歧。目前，缅甸若开邦局势趋缓，孟缅双方已达成遣返协议。外部在人权问题上施加压力，无助于缓和局势、解决问题，反而会使问题更加复杂化，这不符合缅甸及其邻国以及国际社会的利益。我们希望国际社会能为缅甸解决有关问题创造一个有利环境。
A: China always maintains that differencesshall be addressed through constructive dialogue and cooperation on the basisof equality and mutual respect. As the situation in the Rakhine state hasgradually stabilized, and Myanmar and Bangladesh have already reached arepatriation agreement, any external pressure at this moment on the humanrights issue will only make things more complicated, instead of helping easethe situation and solve the problem, which is not in line with the interests ofMyanmar, its neighbors, and the international community at large. We hope thatthe international community could create an enabling environment for Myanmar tosort out the relevant issue.

A: Russia's presidential election is itsinternal affair. We respect President Putin's own decision to run forre-election. Over the recent years, with President Putin at the helm, Russiahas made continued progress in its national development. The China-RussiaComprehensive Strategic Partnership of Coordination, which has been movingforward at a high standard with ever-stronger development momentum, has yieldeda series of important outcomes. A: China is a country with rule of law, andthe Chinese judicial authorities handle cases in accordance with law. Theindividual countries you mentioned, by making such irresponsible remarks on ourjudicial authorities' normal handling of cases, blatantly interfered in China'sinternal affairs and judicial sovereignty. Their actions per se have violatedthe spirit of rule of law. China firmly opposes and will in no way accept that.
你提到的这两个国家驻华使馆，作为外交机构，无权对纯属中国内政和司法主权的事务指手画脚，希望有关使馆对自身职责有准确定位，多做有利于促进了解、互信与合作的事情，而不是相反。
These two foreign embassies in China, asdiplomatic missions, have no right to point fingers at China's internal affairsand judicial sovereignty. We hope the relevant embassies could accuratelyposition themselves as regards their functions and do more to promote mutualunderstanding, mutual trust and cooperation, instead of the opposite.
问：据报道，27日，一辆载有44名中国游客的大巴在冰岛南部发生事故，造成1人死亡，多人受伤。你能否证实并介绍有关情况？
Q: It is reported that a coach carrying 44Chinese tourists crashed in southern Iceland on December 27, leaving one deadand many injured. Can you confirm that and give us more details?
答：当地时间27日，一辆载有44名中国游客的大巴在冰岛南部维克镇附近发生倾翻事故，造成中国公民1人死亡，11人受伤，伤者已被送至医院救治。
A: On December 27 local time, a coachcarrying 44 Chinese tourists visiting Iceland overturned near the Vik villagein southern Iceland, killing one Chinese national and injuring 11 others. Theinjured were taken to hospital for treatment.
事故发生后，外交部和中国驻冰岛使馆高度重视，驻冰岛使馆立即启动应急机制，派人赶赴医院探望慰问受伤游客，与冰方有关部门联系，要求冰方全力救治伤员，彻查事故原因，并督促相关旅行社切实履行责任，积极做好善后。外交部和中国驻冰岛使馆将继续密切关注事件进展，积极为涉事中国游客提供必要协助。
The Foreign Ministry and the ChineseEmbassy in Iceland attach great importance to this. Our Embassy in Icelandimmediately activated the emergency response mechanism, sent officials to visitthe injured in hospital, contacted and asked the Icelandic side to do theirbest in treating the injured and carrying out a thorough investigation into theaccident. Our Embassy also urged the travel agency concerned to take up dueresponsibility and properly handle follow-up matters. The Foreign Ministry andthe Chinese Embassy in Iceland will continue monitoring the latest developmentclosely and provide necessary assistance to our nationals in need.
