Ningbo records 12th day with no new COVID-19 cases

As of 4th March, Ningbo recorded its twelfth day without new confirmed COVID-19 cases. To date 157 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Ningbo, of which 154 have recovered and been discharged from hospital.

On Tuesday, the Municipal Health Commission confirmed that the risk of infection for the whole Ningbo municipality had been adjusted to low.

In Zhejiang Province, there have been 11 days with no new infections except for eight people who returned from Italy, all in the Qing Tian county of Lishui.

On Monday, the Provincial Health Commission lowered its risk assessment to low for the whole province. In keeping with the improving situation, on Monday, the Zhejiang Provincial government lowered the emergency response Level, a four-tier alarm system for public health emergencies, from Level I (the most serious) to Level II.

In the whole of China, the number of new infections was 119 on 4 March, with only four outside Hubei Province. The number of daily cured cases nationwide has surpassed the number of new infections for 15 consecutive days.

The number of new COVID-19 cases has been declining steadily since mid-February. On 26th February, the World Health Organization (WHO) stated that the number of new cases outside China exceeded those inside the country for the first time.

On 25th February, the lead of the WHO-China Joint Mission reported on the team’s findings and said that “the measures taken in China have averted a significant number of cases”. The mission report concluded: “A particularly compelling statistic is that on the first day of the advance team’s work there were 2478 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported in China. Two weeks later, on the final day of this Mission, China reported 409 newly confirmed cases. This decline in COVID-19 cases across China is real.”

宁波连续12天0新增病例

截至3月3日24时，宁波连续12天无新增新型冠状病毒肺炎确诊病例，累计确诊的157例中，已有154例治愈。

昨天，根据浙江省疫情风险等级划分标准，结合宁波市疫情形势发展动态，经相关专家综合研判，宁波市卫生健康委确定宁波市所有乡镇（街道）新冠肺炎疫情风险等级都为低风险。

浙江省方面，截至3月3日24时，除丽水市新增境外（意大利）输入型确诊病例8例，全省已连续11天无本地新增确诊病例。

3月2日，据浙江省卫健委消息，全省县域疫情风险地图“五色图”已更新，全省所有县（市、区）均为绿色低风险，疫情态势持续向好。浙江省疫情防控应急响应等级从原来的一级调整为二级。

全国3月3日新增确诊病例119例，其中湖北以外地区4例。全国连续15天当日新增治愈出院病例超过新增确诊病例。

自2月中旬起，全国每日新增确诊病例稳定下降。2月26日，世界卫生组织表示，中国境外每日新增确诊病例数首次超过中国境内。

中国-世界卫生组织新冠肺炎联合专家考察组在介绍考察情况时表示，中国采取了前所未有的公共卫生应对措施。《中国-世界卫生组织新型冠状病毒肺炎（COVID-19）联合考察报告》中说，“中国采取的果敢措施有效遏制了这一新的呼吸道病原体的迅速蔓延，改变了疫情快速扩散流行的危险进程。一个特别令人信服的统计数字是，在先遣组工作的第一天，中国报告了2478例新增确诊病例，而两周后考察任务的最后一天，中国报告了409例新增确诊病例。这充分表明全国范围内新冠肺炎疫情下降是令人信服的。”
