宁诺线上教学已如期开展两周，希望师生已经逐渐适应这种不同的教学方式。尽管初期学校收到过一些问题反馈，但最近收到的评价越来越积极。

在各院系以及图书馆、IT等支持团队的共同努力下，目前，469个课程悉数上线，7788名学生参与其中，其中9%位于中国大陆以外。除核心课程，体育、普通话、中国文化课等也开启了线上教学。

同学们的反馈对学校持续改进教学质量和提升学习体验非常重要，关于线上教学体验的调查问卷已发至同学们的邮箱，希望大家及时填写完成。

尽管疫情期间返回中国不容易，但仍有49名学术教师在上周回到宁波，下周预计还有35名回甬。教师们返回宁波，能有效解决时差等问题，学校也能更好地提供技术支持。

师生的安全健康至关重要。在海外返甬员工的自我隔离上，学校始终遵守中国政府的相关规定，目前，要求所有海外返回的教职员工进行14天的隔离。

Dear students and staff

Now that we have been delivering our teaching wholly online for the past two weeks, I hope you are all adapting to this different method of education delivery. It has not been without its teething problems but the feedback we have received recently has been increasingly positive.

With the support of staff from the Faculties/Schools and our enabling teams in LRLR/IT and elsewhere, we have been able to deliver 100% of our modules online (excluding lab based sessions). We are now delivering 469 modules online for 7,788 students, 9% of whom are located outside of mainland China. In addition to our core teaching modules, we are also delivering PE, Mandarin and Chinese Culture classes online. Of course, it’s essential we hear from you, our students, about your experience of online teaching. As such I would encourage you to complete the survey that was recently sent to you via email. This essential feedback on our online teaching and learning helps us continually monitor and improve the experience.

On a related note, we are aware of the logistical difficulties some staff are encountering with returning to China; it is with great credit that an additional 49 academic staff have returned to Ningbo in the past week with another 35 returning in the coming week. This will alleviate issues - such as those caused by being in different time zones - and allows us to provide better local, technical support to help our staff deliver online teaching.

It goes without saying that the safety of our students and staff is of paramount importance. In terms of the requirement to self-isolate, we will always follow the regulations issued by the Chinese government, currently requiring all of our staff returning from overseas to self-isolate for 14 days before they have any physical contact with students.
