【彭博新闻社】新冠疫情的源头仍然是一个未解之谜，科学家们认为找到该问题的答案有助于预防未来大流行病的发生。那么有人呼吁呢，就源头问题开展国际审议。事实上，本月举行的世卫大会已同意就此展开调查。总理先生，我想问的是中方对如何开展此调查持何立场，您认为这样的调查应该达到什么目的、应该注意避免什么问题，谢谢！

BloombergNews: The origins of COVID-19 are still a mystery. Scientists think if we canfind out where it came from, we can prevent future pandemics. There has beencalls for an international pandemic inquiry into the origins. The World HealthAssembly earlier this month approved such an inquiry. Mr. Premier, I want toask you what is China’s stance on how such an inquiry should be carried out andwhat should such an inquiry do and what should it not do. Thank you.

【李克强】中国，还有许多国家，都主张对病毒进行溯源。正如你刚才所说，前不久召开的世卫组织大会通过了有关这方面的决议。中国也参与了。因为科学溯源可以更好的去防控预警，也是为了世界各国人民的生命健康。这次疫情突如其来，对人类来说是个全新的传染病。到现在，可以说还是未知大于已知。病毒是没有国界的，它是全世界的、人类的敌人。Li Keqiang:China and many countries believe that it is important to get a clear idea aboutthe source of the coronavirus. As you said at the recently held the WorldHealth Assembly，a resolution is adopted，and China is one of the co-sponsors of this resolution. We believe that，getting clear about the sources of the virus on thebasis of science will help us better carry out containment of COVID-19 and alsocontribute to life and health of people around the world. The novel coronavirusdisease has caught all countries by surprise. It is a completely a new diseaseto humankind. So far, I am afraid that they're still more to the virus that wedo not know, and viruses respect no borders and they are the common enemy ofthe whole world and entire humanity.

各国都在进行防控，也在探索中前进，目前还没有完整的经验。我们一方面要控制住疫情的发展。现在看，把疫苗、有效药物、检测试剂研发出来，这将是人类战胜这个病毒的强有力的武器。中国和许多国家都在进行投入，我们也愿意和国际合作，因为出来的这个产品是全球的公共产品我们愿意共享。最终，人类能够共同战胜这个敌人。Nowadays allcountries are still working hard to contain the spread of the virus and we are gainingexperience along the way, we must work hard together to keep the virus incheck. In this process, vaccines, effective medicines and testing reagents willbe our powerful weapons to get us in to help us succeed and checking the virus.China and many other countries are making investments into R&D of theseproducts and we are open to international cooperation. We believe thedeliverable of the R&D will be public goods that should be shared. Andthese public goods will help entire humankind to succeed in defeating thevirus.

中国人民经过艰苦卓绝的努力，现在是有效地控制了疫情，同时积极参与国际合作，公开、透明、负责任，及时向国际社会发布有关信息。但现在疫情还在全球流行，中国本身也未结束，我们现在还有散发性的病例，不少科学家都也强调还是要保持警惕，防止反弹。我们将继续坚持实事求是，公开透明的原则，一旦发现疫情，坚决地予以管控，不允许有任何隐瞒。With painstaking efforts, China has successfully brought the spread of virus undercontrol，and China has taken an active part in international cooperation against thevirus. We have all along acted with openness, transparency and a sense ofresponsibility. We have shared information in a timely way with the rest ofinternational community. The virus is still spreading around the world, and asfor COVID-19 in China, and it has not come to a complete end yet, and yet thereare still sporadic cases in China and scientists have cautioned us to stay onhigh alert to prevent a resurgence of infections. We must continue to adopt thescience-based, open and transparent approach in dealing with COVID-19. Anyinfection，once detected，must be promptly handled，and no cover-up will ever be allowed.

现在很多人都说疫情可能短期不会结束，还会延长一段时间。实际上，国际社会已经面临双重挑战、两张答卷，一方面要控制住疫情，一方面还要恢复经济社会发展，恢复秩序。这是有矛盾的。我们现在还需要在矛盾当中平衡，在探索当中前行，尤其需要国际合作。不论是抗击疫情还是发展经济，都需要我们，同舟共济。使人类能够越过这场巨浪的冲击。谢谢！Many peoplesay that COVID-19 will not come to stop anytime soon and we may have to livewith COVID-19 for quite some time to come. All countries now are confrontedwith dual challenges. It's like doing double exams. We have to contain thespread of virus and at the same time do our best to get life and work back tonormal. I am afraid that there is a certain level of conflict of interestbetween these two goals so we will have to do utmost to strike a delicatebalance and continue to explore our way forward. In this process, internationalcooperation is vitally important. We must come together in the internationalcommunity in the sense of partnership to eventually get all of us to prevailover the epidemic. Thank you.
