研究问题 Research Questions
RQ: 本研究的目的是检验护理学生的人口特点及顺利完成护理本科课程的联系。
研究方法 Research Methods
在2008年秋季到2015年秋季对4521名在校大学生的学习成绩进行回顾性分析，一共选择了三门课程。被筛选的学生数据包括课程成绩、性别、全日制学习、收入，婚姻状况，GAP等。共2556名本科生(57%)被纳入研究的样本。
读后感 Comment
(1) About the research method: retrospective analysis, based on analysis the students’ academic recoding and check the association between this and students’ demographic characteristics is reliable and match the feature of this research type, A descriptive research study. Compare to use questionnaire and collect the data this method seem more accuracy.
(2) The research question was clear: Can educators predict student success in postsecondary education? And this topic is very popular. And why the author choose the nursing education field the reason was also clear: some of the nursing courses strengthen a student's quantitative reasoning skills and these ability contribute the successes in the future of students.
(3) About the meaningful of this research: This research was aim to find some characteristic which the most of successes people have, to predict the students future achievement. But when the teacher knows the conclusion of this research before the class and the teacher compare the students’ different characteristics to this research, will the teacher show some prejudice to the students?
(4) The limitation of this research: how to test the teachers’ consistent evaluation criteria? The author didn't mention about it, if the teachers’ evaluation criteria was not consistent, the students’ academic achievement were difficult to compare.
(5) About maneuverability of this study: Once the teacher differentiates or classify the students according to the variables listed in this article into different groups with different characteristics and treats them differently, the teacher will violate the original intention of why they want to be a teacher.
